I’m Santiago, a Colombian/American business professional with a background shaped by curiosity, discipline, and a family deeply connected to academia and professional excellence, with lawyers and doctors on both sides of my family.
I studied International Business Administration & Political studies, where I developed an early interest in understanding how businesses work, how people make decisions, and how different markets and cultures shape the way organizations operate.
My career has taken me across different sides of business. I started in banking and fintech, moved through commercial marketing and trade marketing, and eventually found my strongest intersection in operations, systems, and business growth.
That journey taught me something important:
The best businesses are not built by one function alone. They happen when people, processes, technology, and commercial thinking work together.
I like taking something that feels messy, manual, or overly complicated and figuring out how to make it work better. Sometimes that means redesigning a process. Sometimes it means building a better digital system. Sometimes it means using data, automation, or AI to eliminate work that should never have been manual in the first place.
But The Daily Systems is also a reflection of who I am outside of work.
I’m passionate about exercise, discipline, travel, and continuous learning. I love being exposed to different cultures, meeting people with completely different perspectives, and understanding how they think, work, and live.
That curiosity has shaped the way I approach business too.
I don't believe there is one universal way to build a great company. I believe there are principles, systems, and disciplines that can be adapted to the reality of each business.
